The need for affordable, purpose-built communities for seniors in Canada is ever-growing. Seniors are at a higher risk of loneliness and social isolation and may also struggle with financial security. Hesperus Village provides a human-centered approach to aging, focused on cultivating intentional community through accessible and affordable housing and programs and services through the continuum of aging.
Unlike many other residential communities for seniors, Hesperus Village embraces a holistic approach to elderhood, emphasizing reverence for later life and celebrating the end-of-life journey. Our community fosters connections, promotes individual growth and offers a supportive and inclusive environment where seniors can consciously explore this final season of their lives.
Hesperus Village exists to counteract some of the most significant issues facing seniors – work that simply wouldn’t be possible without generous donor support.
Why Fundraising Matters
At Hesperus Village, fundraising is vital to sustaining our mission and enriching the lives of our residents. As a non-profit residential community, we depend on the generosity of our donors to bridge the gap between operational costs and revenue from rent and government funding.
Donor support helps to ensure that residents can continue to access affordable meals and community activities, enhancing community partnerships that help residents to age in place, and building reserves that will help sustain Hesperus Village well into the future. Hesperus Village gratefully accepts donations year-round. We also partner with WillPower to help interested supporters leave bequeathed funds to Hesperus Village in their wills.
Fundraise
Every fall, Hesperus Village participates in the Toronto Marathon. We welcome new additions to our fundraising team or donations to our Marathon team.
Raise Awareness
